KARACHI: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,269.
The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.833 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,118.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.166 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 PKR 848.485 million, currencies through COTS PKR 713.052 million, crude oil PKR 693.423 million, silver PKR 396.627 million, DJ PKR 366.116 million, SP500 PKR 319.891 million, platinum PKR 178.239 million, natural gas PKR 130.599 million and copper PKR 20.226 million.
In agriculture commodities 5 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 20.226 million and 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.514 million were traded.
