TOKYO: Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) rubber futures ended higher for the first time in four days, as the formal start of the US Federal Reserve's corporate bond buying programme eased concerns around the fresh resurgence in coronavirus cases.
The Fed's huge stimulus programme is helping bolster market sentiment as coronavirus infections rise around the world and fresh clusters hit countries such as China, the world's biggest rubber consumer.
TOCOM's rubber contract for November delivery finished 3.3 yen, or 2.1%, higher at 157.6 yen per kg.
The rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for September delivery rose 0.3% to finish at 10,335 yuan per tonne.-Reuters
