At least 20 Indian soldiers including a Colonel killed during clashes with China at Gulwan

At least 20 Indian troops, including a Colonel, have been killed while 45 captured in clash with Chinese forces in Ladakh in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

As per reports, three Indian soldiers died of bullet wounds while 135 Indian soldiers suffered injuries. Besides, 25 of the captured troops were later released by Chinese military. The injured are being treated at 303 field hospital and at GH Leh.

During de-escalation process in Galwan Valley, a violent face-off took place, Indian media reported.

"Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation," the army said.

The statement further said there was no firing in the scuffle.
