With global uncertainty ruling the roost, economic experts have said that the present coronavirus pandemic has changed both the structure and the direction of the global economy, and it is a very difficult time for Pakistan too.

Talking to Aaj News, economic expert Hussain Rizvi, while discussing the past and possible future of the industrial sector said that the Industrial Revolution in the 50's and 60's was made possible by the Development Financial Institution (DFI). Financial institutions, with regular research and financial support, laid the foundations for industry and laid the foundation for the development of industry.

Meanwhile, former president of Karachi Chamber of Commerce Masood Naqi said that coronavirus has changed both the structure and direction of global economy. To get Pakistan out of this crisis, the government needs to promote Pakistan at the highest level. For a long time now, we will not be able to rely on traditional exports.

Efforts should be made to prepare for this challenge as soon as possible through effective policymaking, he said.
