KARACHI: "Anger Management" star Charlie Sheen announced that he will donate $1 million to
the United Service Organizations (USO), which will go toward an entertainment facility for
injured troops in Bethesda, Maryland.

USO was first established in 1941, and has since performed thousands of goodwill shows for
the troops.

The donation will mark the largest single contribution from an individual in the
organization’s history.

Sheen is no stranger to making headlines in the media.

According to reports, he is set to donate the amount to US troops, and fans think that the
news is fantastic. The money is just one percent of his profits from the show.

“It’s an honour for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who
have done so much for us all. They put their lives on the line for us everyday," said Sheen.

The Executive Vice President and Joint Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, Gen. John I. Pray
Jr., released a statement, and said that the support was greatly appreciated especially from
wounded warriors and their families.

“The USO would like to thank Charlie Sheen for his very generous $1 million donation to our
Operation Enduring Care Campaign and his interest in helping us lift the spirits of those
who have endured so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy daily,” Gen. Pray Jr., said of the
donation.

Fans were disheartened when they learned that Sheen would no longer be part of the show "Two
and a Half Men", and were hoping to see him quickly return to TV.

The first installment of $250,000 of the donation will be held in a private ceremony next week.
