Four police personnel killed in DI Khan shootout

Four police officials were martyred on Tuesday after unidentified men opened fire on a police vehicle in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Dera Ismail (DI) Khan.

The unidentified assailants opened fire at the police vehicle, which was on a patrol at Mahra area of Tehsil Proa. The deceased officers have been identified as officers Sarfaraz, Asif, Mirbaz and Javed.

During the attack, an SHO, leading the patrol was also injured along with two passers-by in the attack, local media reported. The injured were shifted to a hospital, while the local police have initiated a search operation to find the attackers.
