On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,248. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.218 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 8,816.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.958 billion, followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 1.209 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 824.678 million, NSDQ100 PKR 371.232 million, Silver PKR 225.358 million, Platinum PKR 191.922 million, Palladium PKR 148.706 million, DJ PKR 114.033 million, SP500 PKR 111.897 million, Natural Gas PKR 37.772 million, Copper PKR 13.072 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 11.511 million. In agriculture 2 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 0.953 million were traded.
