Channing Tatum announces separation from wife Jenna Dewan
After the divorce of Hollywood’s most loved couple Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, another power couple Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan call it quits after being married for almost nine years.
The ‘Step Up’ actors, who together have a five-year-old daughter, announced their separation in a joint statement on social media earlier today.
According to People, the couple initially met on the sets of their first movie together in 2006. The couple has been dating since then and finally tied the knot in 2009.
Over the last few months, certain signs and events suggested that both Channing and Jenna were drifting apart. While talking about the concept of marriage with the publication back in February, the 37-year-old actress said, “I don’t think there should be any expectation, any sort of ‘You’re bonded to me for the rest of your life,’ thick and thin. I think that’s an older generation thought.”
The couple has also attended some parties and events solo. From last year to present, a number of power couples have split including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, leaving fans heartbroken.
