KARACHI: According to UNICEF, millions of children in Pakistan remain out of school. In the digital age, innovative learning and technology can create new opportunities for children who have missed traditional schooling or moved beyond the conventional school-going age.
International marathon runner, Guinness World Record holder and journalist Mona Khan, along with coach Muhammad Yousuf, will run 42.2 kilometres, while junior runner Muhammad Keyaan Mustafa Khan will participate in the 5-kilometre race at the New York City Marathon on November 1, 2026.
In collaboration with Teach the World Foundation, the team aims to highlight Pakistan’s education challenges and promote digital learning, alternative educational pathways and opportunities for children who have missed formal schooling.
Teach the World Foundation promotes foundational education for children who have missed conventional schooling. Through digital learning tools such as iPads and tablets, children can learn at their own pace, engage with interactive educational content and develop essential literacy and numeracy skills.
