ICAP Co-Chairman, Joint Task Force, BCSR Awards

Every year, the Joint Task Force of ICAP and ICMA International carries out a thorough and transparent evaluation of the reports submitted across the categories: listed companies, public sector entities, banks, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations. The evaluation looks at the quality of financial information, corporate governance disclosures, risk reporting and, increasingly, the depth and credibility of sustainability reporting.

This year’s submissions reflect a steady improvement in the quality of reporting in Pakistan. More organizations are adopting integrated thinking, strengthening their sustainability disclosures and presenting information in a way that is meaningful to their stakeholders. This progress is encouraging and shows that the reporting culture in our country is maturing.

I congratulate all the winners on their well-deserved recognition and encourage every participating organization to keep building on its achievements. My sincere thanks go to my fellow members of the Joint Task Force, the evaluators and the judges for their commitment and professionalism, and to the teams at ICAP and ICMA International whose hard work makes these awards possible.

I look forward to seeing even higher standards of transparency and accountability in the years ahead.
