HAMBURG: The Busan section of the Korea Feed Association (KFA) in South Korea purchased around 65,000 metric tons of animal feed corn in a private deal on Friday without issuing an international tender, European traders said on Monday.
The corn can be sourced from any worldwide origin and was bought at an estimated at USD278.99 a ton cost and freight (c&f) including a surcharge for additional port unloading.
The corn is for arrival in South Korea around February 10, 2027, and the tonnage to be supplied can vary according to the origin selected, with 65,000 tons required if sourced from the United States or South America or 52,000 tons from South Africa.
