CM sets target to make Punjab South Asia’s most AI-enabled province by 2029
LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a target to make Punjab the most AI-enabled province in South Asia by 2029.
Provincial Adviser for Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Mustafa Dar met Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, during which consultations were held on the formal launch of Punjab AI Vision 2029.
The chief minister was given a detailed briefing on the performance of the AI Office over the past two months and was apprised of the world’s first AI-enabled Delivery Unit established in Punjab. The meeting was also briefed on the high-level team constituted for implementation of the Punjab Artificial Intelligence agenda, as well as an on boarding programme developed in collaboration with global delivery experts.
Progress on the vision of making Punjab South Asia’s most AI-enabled province was also reviewed during the meeting. Provincial Adviser Ali Dar gave the chief minister a detailed briefing on the six key pillars of AI Vision 2029. The meeting also discussed the first CM AI stocktake to review progress on AI Vision 2029.
