ISLAMABAD: Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media Fahd Haroon has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the people of Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis on the occasion of the 79th Independence anniversary.

In his message, Fahd Haroon said Independence Day honours the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices of those who made Pakistan possible, and renews the national resolve to build a stronger, more peaceful, prosperous and self-reliant country.

He paid tribute to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership in advancing Pakistan’s national interests and strengthening its partnerships with brotherly and friendly nations.

He congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on the landmark trilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, calling it a milestone in strengthening strategic ties, collective security and regional stability, and a reflection of Pakistan’s enduring bonds with both nations and its constructive role in regional peace.

Fahd Haroon also paid tribute to the officers and personnel of Pakistan’s Armed Forces for their courage and steadfast commitment to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.

“Independence is both a privilege and a responsibility. As we honour those who secured our freedom and those who continue to defend it, we must also renew our commitment to building a Pakistan that is united, peaceful, prosperous and confident in its place in the world,” he said.

Fahd Haroon said Pakistan’s greatest strength is its people — particularly its young generation, whose talent, energy and aspirations will shape the country’s future.

“Let us move forward with confidence, unity and a shared sense of purpose, transforming the aspirations of our founding fathers into a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan. May our national journey ahead be marked by further peace, progress and opportunity for every Pakistani,” he added.

Fahd Haroon prayed for the continued stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and the well-being of its people.
