KARACHI: Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited the Sindh Assembly (SA) on Friday, where he was warmly received by the Speaker of the Assembly, lawmakers, and members of the Children’s Parliament during a special ceremony held to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
He was accompanied by Minister of State for Sports Khel Das Kohistani, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Minister of State Fahad Haroon, Spokesman of Federal Government for Sindh Raja Ansari and other officials.
The special session featured speeches by members of the Sindh Assembly, who highlighted the significance of Independence Day and stressed the need to accelerate Pakistan’s development.
Sindh Assembly member Jameel Soomro presented a resolution on the occasion. The lawmakers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening national unity and working for the country’s progress and prosperity.
Members of the Children’s Parliament also addressed the gathering, who emphasized the role of young people in shaping Pakistan’s future.
Speakers described the younger generation as the country’s greatest asset and a key to a brighter future, calling for expanded opportunities for youth to develop their skills and contribute to national development.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold Pakistan’s security, stability, prosperity, and national unity.
