ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Secretariat has suspended Security Assistant Waqas Ahmed over alleged misuse of official authority and directed him to report immediately to the Human Resource Management Branch. According to an official statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday, the suspension orders were issued under Rule 5(1) of the Government Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
The concerned security assistant has been directed to report to the Human Resource Management Branch of the National Assembly Secretariat with immediate effect.
The National Assembly Secretariat reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline, transparency and accountability, and ensuring strict compliance with government rules and regulations.
The Secretariat said appropriate action would be taken in accordance with the applicable rules and procedures.
