KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited the residence of the late Mir Raza Ali Khan.
Additional IGP Karachi, DIGP East and the concerned SSPs also accompanied them.
The Sindh Home Minister and Karachi Mayor expressed condolences to the parents and other family members of Mir Raza Ali Khan.
Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar informed the bereaved family that a judicial inquiry has been decided into the murder case of Mir Raza Ali Khan.
He said that on the recommendation of the Sindh Chief Minister, a judicial commission will be constituted under the leadership of a respected judge of the Sindh High Court.
Lanjar said that a new investigation team has also been formed under the leadership of DIGP Amir Farooqi. Three SSPs have been included as members of the new investigation team, he said.
The parents of Mir Raza Ali Khan were briefed in detail on the progress of the case and the ongoing investigation.
The Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab said a four-hour-long meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Sindh Chief Minister. He said all aspects of the incident and the investigation were reviewed in detail during the meeting.
The investigation team will remain in close contact with the bereaved family and extend full cooperation to them, Lanjar said. The Minister said that transparent and impartial investigation into the case will be ensured. All requirements of justice will be fulfilled, he added.
The Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar and Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab assured the family that they would be provided complete justice. The family of late Mir Raza Ali will not be left alone, they added.
