ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 12 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Hindustan” in two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Washuk and Mastung districts on August 5 and 6, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted under “Rad-ul-Fitna-III,” an ongoing series of intelligence-based operations forming part of Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism campaign against what it describes as Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies.

The ISPR said security forces tracked the movement of six terrorists in Washuk district on August 5 and engaged them in a precise operation, killing all six.

In a separate intelligence-based operation on August 6 in Mastung district, another six terrorists were killed during an intense exchange of fire between security forces and militants. The forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout during the operation.

The military said the operations were conducted as part of the “Rad-ul-Fitna-III” campaign aimed at eliminating terrorist networks operating in Balochistan.

Reaffirming its commitment under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, the ISPR said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue intelligence-driven operations to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
