KARACHI: A high-level delegation of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), led by its Chairman, has commenced an official visit to the United Kingdom from 3–8 August 2026 under the auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

The visit aims to strengthen Pakistan’s presence in one of its most important export markets and further promote the country’s premium-quality rice, particularly the internationally acclaimed Basmati variety.

Pakistan has firmly established itself among the world’s leading producers and exporters of premium-quality rice. Recognized for its exceptional aroma, extra-long grains, superior taste, and consistent quality, Pakistani Basmati rice continues to enjoy a strong reputation and growing demand across international markets. The United Kingdom remains one of Pakistan’s key export destinations, presenting significant opportunities for market expansion, brand development, and value addition.

Organized by TDAP as part of its strategic efforts to enhance Pakistan’s export competitiveness in priority international markets, the visit is designed to facilitate direct engagement between leading Pakistani rice exporters and prominent UK importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and food service companies.

The delegation’s programmer includes a series of business engagements in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, featuring business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, and presentations with major retail chains, supermarket groups, importers, and industry stakeholders.
