KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has sealed the business premises located at Nasim Nagar Chowk, Qasimabad, Hyderabad, in a fresh crackdown against non-compliant and defaulting taxpayers.
Officials said the action was taken over the restaurant’s failure to deposit outstanding government dues and for suppressing sales figures, which resulted in a significant loss of Sindh Sales Tax (SST) revenue.
According to the SRB, the restaurant had earlier been directed to clear its outstanding liability by July 16, 2026. Notices were subsequently issued instructing the establishment to deposit the government dues, but the restaurant neither discharged the liability nor responded to the notices, citing continued non-compliance that led the SRB officers to seal the premises.
The Board said the sealing was part of an ongoing enforcement drive and warned that similar action would be taken against other restaurants found suppressing sales, avoiding integration of their point-of-sale (POS) systems with the SRB-POS online system.
