LAHORE: US Consul General in Lahore Stetson Sanders has said that the United States values its longstanding economic partnership with Pakistan, and strengthening their trade and business ties remains an important part of that relationship.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural of Global Outlook Exchange here on Wednesday, organised by the Leaders Network Pakistan in partnership with Business Line, an SAP Partner and leading technology and outsourcing company. The event brought together senior leaders from business, government, technology, diplomacy and the corporate sector for discussions on Pakistan’s economic outlook and growth opportunities.

The US Consul General further said that initiatives such as the Select USA Investment Summit provide valuable opportunities to deepen commercial engagement, encourage investment and build stronger connections between businesses in both countries.

Business Line Pakistan CEO Nabeel Ahmed said that at Business Line, they believe technology is only one part of transformation. “Lasting progress is driven by informed leadership, meaningful dialogue and the exchange of ideas. As we expand our presence in Pakistan, we are proud to partner with The Leaders Network to create a platform where business leaders, policymakers and innovators can engage in conversations that shape the country’s future. This collaboration reflects our commitment to contributing not only through technology, but by fostering the leadership ecosystem that will define Pakistan’s next chapter.”

Powered by Business Line, the exclusive forum featured a keynote by Dr Salman Ahmed, Global Head of Macro and Strategic Asset Allocation at Fidelity International, who examined the global economic outlook, emerging market trends and the structural reforms needed for Pakistan to achieve sustainable long-term growth.

The event also featured remarks Anwar Kabir, founder of The Leaders Network Pakistan, Bank of Punjab President and CEO Zafar Masud and FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Zaki Ijaz. The Speakers emphasised the importance of economic reforms, investment and private sector leadership in strengthening Pakistan’s long-term competitiveness.

The Global Outlook Exchange marks the beginning of an ongoing leadership platform by Business Line and The Leaders Network Pakistan to foster dialogue between business, government and industry leaders on the issues shaping the country’s economic future.
