Govt raises diesel by Rs31.05, petrol by Rs5.44 per litre for July 18-20

The federal government on Friday announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products for a three-day period, raising the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs31.05 per litre and petrol by Rs5.44 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices will remain effective from July 18 to July 20, 2026.

Under the revised rates, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased from Rs323.30 per litre to Rs354.35 per litre, reflecting an increase of Rs31.05 per litre.

Similarly, the price of motor spirit (petrol) has been raised from Rs310.71 per litre to Rs316.15 per litre, up by Rs5.44 per litre.

The Petroleum Division said the revised ex-depot prices would apply for the three-day period from July 18 through July 20.

The latest adjustment comes just a week after the government increased petrol and diesel prices by more than Rs13 per litre for the July 11-17 period, as international oil prices climbed amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Pakistan previously reviewed petroleum product prices every week. However, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik announced today that the fuel prices will now be reviewed on a daily basis amid skyrocketing oil prices in the global market.
