LAHORE: Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar said on Thursday that Pakistan has emerged as peacemaker in the world after successful mediation between Iran and the United States.
Speaking to media here today, he said Pakistan was the first country which condemned attack on Iran and we made practical efforts to bring an end to this war.
The Deputy Prime Minister said entire nation is grateful for the respect which Pakistan has earned during the mediation process. He said Pakistan ensured peace and stability in the region by initiating mediation efforts.
To a question, Ishaq Dar said the Prime Minister has taken steps to correct wrong economic decisions of former government and now the country has been put on trajectory of development.
He said Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power and now we will make the country economic power.
He further said Pakistan has consistently advocated peaceful engagement in regional conflicts and supported dialogue-based solutions, adding that efforts are aimed at strengthening economic ties, expanding trade volumes and enhancing regional stability through structured cooperation frameworks.
He said recent diplomatic achievements reflect sustained efforts by the government, the Foreign Office, and the country’s leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, adding that these developments demonstrate increasing international trust in Pakistan’s constructive role in global affairs.
