ISLAMABAD: Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), under the chairmanship of Secretary of Ministry of Housing & Works, Capt Muhammad Mahmood (retd), held an important meeting in the committee room on Tuesday to discuss measures aimed at providing greater facilitation and improved services to the allottees of FGEHA housing schemes.
During the meeting, the Secretary of Ministry of Housing & Works directed that a comprehensive and practical policy framework be developed between FGEHA and commercial banks to enable maximum utilization of housing finance facilities of up to Rs 10 million under the Prime Minister’s “Apna Ghar Scheme.” Special emphasis was placed on devising suitable financing mechanisms for retired allottees to ensure their inclusion in the scheme.
He stressed that the proposed policy should simplify the process of obtaining housing loans and be transparent, accessible, and user-friendly, enabling allottees to construct and own their homes with minimum financial burden.
