LAHORE: The 35th meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, unanimously adopted a special resolution on the Iran-US peace agreement, paying tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their role in the diplomatic breakthrough.
The resolution stated that every Pakistani holds their head high with pride over Pakistan’s diplomatic success in facilitating the Iran-US agreement. It said Pakistan’s effective diplomacy helped save the world from bloodshed and an economic crisis, adding that the country’s exemplary diplomatic efforts have ushered in a new era of peace and stability.
According to the resolution, Pakistan has emerged as a symbol of peace, wisdom and responsible leadership for the international community.
