ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has decided to obtain relevant security clearance pertaining to foreign funding or foreign donations.
According to the SRO 915(I)/2026 issued by the SECP on Monday, the commission has notified draft amendments to the Companies Regulations, 2024.
As per revised regulations, the commission shall obtain security clearance in accordance with policy approved by the government in respect of foreign funding or donation or foreign promoters, foreign directors, or foreign chief executive officer of applicant seeking licence under these Regulations, the SECP added.
