75th anniversary of diplomatic ties: President extends warm felicitations to leadership of China
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday extended warm felicitations to the leadership and people of China on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, calling the partnership a “remarkable example of enduring friendship, mutual trust and strategic cooperation.”
In a message marking the historic occasion, he said that Pakistan and China have consistently stood by each other through changing regional and international circumstances, supporting each other’s core interests with steadfast solidarity over the past 75 years.
He said the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership has continued to strengthen over time, serving as an anchor for peace, stability, and development in the region. He added that successive generations in both countries have helped nurture and deepen this “exemplary friendship.”
Praising China’s development achievements under President Xi Jinping, the president highlighted progress in modernization, innovation, poverty alleviation, and national rejuvenation. He also appreciated China’s global initiatives, including the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, and Global Governance Initiative, saying they promote peace, sustainable development, and cooperation among civilizations.
