PESHAWAR: Energy and Power Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized the second online (live) e-Khuli Kachehri under the ongoing policy of good governance roadmap to bring transparency in the administrative affairs of the government institutes and resolve public issues promptly.

The public actively participated and presented their issues, for which instructions were issued on the spot for their immediate resolution. The Khuli Kachehri was held with Secretary Energy and Power Nisar Ahmed in the chair was attended by all the officers of the department including Special Secretary Habibullah Arif, Additional Secretaries Noor Khan Sherani and Noor Wali Khan. Heads of the subsidiary institutions PEDO, KPOGCL, Electric Inspectorate and KP Transmission and Grid System Company, all the officers and project directors participated in it.

In E-Khuli Kachehri, 55 people from different districts of the province openly discussed the issues related to the Department and all its subsidiary institutions and the public called the holding of this activity a revolutionary step of transparency and merit. Moreover, public issues were carefully heard through calls received on Facebook as well as telephonically and orders were issued to the officers and officials present on the spot to resolve their issues immediately.

At the end of 2-hour E-Khuli Kachehri, the Secretary Energy and Power Nisar Ahmad assured the public that under the people-friendly policy of the current government, efforts will be made to resolve public issues on the spot through. He termed this practice as a revolutionary initiative of the current provincial government and expressed hope that this will reduce the gap between the public and institutions while public will be able to monitor government initiatives with merit and transparency. He directed all officers to take steps to resolve the public issues rose in e Kachehri immediately and submit the implementation report soon.
