LAHORE: A new biometric verification system was enforced in the courts across Punjab on Tuesday.
The system will be implemented including the Lahore High Court and all district courts for enhancing transparency and eliminating fraudulent practices in the judicial process. Under the new system, biometric verification has been made mandatory for all parties before any court proceedings. Petitioners, respondents, and sureties will now be required to undergo biometric verification through NADRA. Without biometric verification, case hearings will not be conducted and bail bonds will also not be accepted. The move will significantly improve transparency and ensure the presence of genuine litigants during proceedings.
