KARACHI: Local and international gold and silver prices continued to touch new record highs on Tuesday, setting fresh global benchmark at USD4,713 per ounce, traders said.
The global uptrend further spurred the local gold prices to new highs of Rs493,662 per tola and Rs423,235 per 10 grams, up by Rs4,300 and Rs3,686, respectively, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said.
Domestic silver market edged higher to follow suit, hitting new historic height of Rs9,869 per tola and Rs8,461 per 10 grams, soaring by Rs87 and Rs75, separately, according to the association.
