LAHORE: Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) Punjab Director General Tayyab Farid has emphasised the timely completion of development projects at all costs, saying no compromise on quality will be tolerated.

He expressed these views while addressing an online meeting of the Steering Committee of the Programme Management Unit (PMU) held here on Thursday to review the Punjab Development Programme (PDP). The meeting was attended by Managing Directors of Water and Sanitation Agencies (WASAs) across Punjab, PMU officers, and relevant stakeholders.

The objective of the meeting was to conduct a comprehensive review of the progress of ongoing development projects in various cities of Punjab, identify key challenges, and ensure the timely achievement of project targets. The WASA Punjab DG was given a detailed briefing on all ongoing projects under WASAs, including financial progress, timelines, and technical aspects.

Addressing the participants, he directed all WASAs to accelerate further the pace of work on projects being executed under the Punjab Development Programme. He further instructed that progress reports should be submitted regularly to the office of WASA Punjab DG.

Priority was also directed towards the early completion of projects related to public facilities. Farid reiterated that, in line with the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister, all WASA projects across the province will be completed in a transparent, efficient, and public welfare-oriented manner.
