KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori pays tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her 18th death anniversary, stating that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto dedicated her entire life to protecting the constitution, democracy and the rights of the people.
He said, Benazir Bhutto also has the honour of being the first elected female Prime Minister of the Muslim world. He said that her undying struggle for public service and democracy is commendable. Her vision is a beacon for the women of the country. Her historic role in women’s empowerment and leadership is unforgettable.
He said, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s sacrifices and great role for the protection of democracy and for the supremacy of the constitution will be written in the history in golden letters. She set an example of principled politics and strengthening democracy. Her political opponents do recognize her sacrifices and services to the democracy.
The Governor noted that Mohtarma’s martyrdom caused irreparable damages to Pakistan’s democratic politics. “ The nation will always remember her sacrifices and services,” he said.
