  • They "remained actively involved" in numerous terrorist activities in Panjgur area
Published Updated

Security forces killed four “Indian-sponsored” terrorists during an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Panjgur district of Balochistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday

The military’s media wing said the operation was conducted on Friday on reported presence of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists, also known as Fitna al Khwarij.

“During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell,” it said.

The ISPR added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

“Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji present in the area,” it said, adding that relentless counter terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to the security forces for successfully eliminating four terrorists during the Panjgur operation, the PM Office said.

The premier vowed that the nefarious designs of terrorists—whom he described as the “enemies of humanity”—would be completely thwarted. He emphasised that the entire nation stands united with the security forces in the ongoing “Azm-e-Istehkam” campaign against terrorism.

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed the government’s unwavering resolve to achieve a total eradication of all forms of terrorism from the country.

The military’s media wing on Friday said security forces killed five Indian-sponsored terrorists during an IBO in Kohlu district of Balochistan.

According to the ISPR, the operation was conducted on December 25 following reports about the presence of terrorists linked to what it described as an Indian proxy group, “Fitna al Hindustan,” a term Islamabad uses to describe the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
