The World Bank on Thursday said China’s economy held firm in the third quarter of 2025, bringing year-to-date GDP growth to 5.2% year on year.
In its latest China Economic Update, the lender estimated full-year growth at 4.9% and forecast 4.4% for 2026, citing persistent headwind. Recent fiscal steps and steadier global trade policies are likely to underpin investment and exports, it said.
