QUETTA: A severe cold spell has gripped parts of Balochistan, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a detailed 24-hour weather forecast for the province on Sunday.
According to the advisory, most districts are likely to experience dry and extremely cold conditions, with temperatures expected to drop further during night and early morning hours, especially in northern regions.
The PMD reported that cloudy weather is expected in Quetta and adjoining north-western districts. Light rainfall and snowfall on surrounding hills are likely at a few locations, including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah. The forecast suggests that this weather pattern may intensify the cold wave across mountainous areas, prompting caution for travellers and residents.
