KARACHI: Due to maintenance work by K-Electric at Dhabeji Substation and gird station on November 27 (today) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m, water supply in the city is expected to be reduced by about 100 million gallons.

This will partially affect water supply in Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, DHA, Chanesar Town, Jinnah Town, North Nazimabad and Gulberg Town, said KWSC Spokesman on Wednesday.

He said that K-Electric has sent a formal shutdown request to Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation for the annual maintenance at the above site.

During this time, power supply to various feeders of Dhabeji Pumping Station will be partially suspended.

The spokesperson also said that the city is supplied with 650 million gallons of water daily. However, despite the expected reduction, the daily supply of about 550 million gallons of water will continue.

KWSC has requested the citizens to be careful in using water in view of the possible temporary water shortage.
