Increasing illegal constructions: Investigation against responsible SBCA officials directed

KARACHI: On the instructions of Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Director General of Sindh Building Control Authority Muzammil Hussain Halipoto has taken strict notice of the rapidly increasing illegal constructions across the city and ordered a high-level investigation against the responsible SBCA officials.

After receiving the report of the Director Vigilance, the Director General took immediate action and nominated the Additional Director General (Operations) as the Inquiry Officer for this alarming development.

According to the official letter, the Director General has issued clear instructions to complete a transparent and comprehensive inquiry immediately to identify the elements involved in the illegal constructions.

The letter states that the details provided by the Director Vigilance are attached to the inquiry, in light of which it has been ordered to open all the layers of the matter.
