LAHORE: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Thursday conducted a full-scale fire and rescue emergency exercise at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP), reaffirming its commitment to aviation safety and emergency preparedness in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards.
According to the PAA, the exercise aimed to evaluate the airport’s readiness, coordination, and response capability during a simulated large-scale aircraft fire emergency.
The scenario tested fire fighting, evacuation, triage, medical support, and communication protocols under realistic conditions. The exercise concluded successfully, achieving all objectives and earning appreciation for its professionalism and effectiveness.
