KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 205,276 Tons of cargo comprising 177,627 Tons of import cargo and 27,649 Tons of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of177,627 Tons comprised 69,916 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 29,802 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 5,057 Tons of (Dap), 2,352 Tons of Sugar & 70,500 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 27,649 Tons comprised 16,529 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 200 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 1,634 Tons of Cement, 2,479 Tons of Rice & 6,807 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately 05 ships namely Euphoria, Msc Albany, Hong Yong Chang Sheng, Cosco New York, & Kota Sahabat, berth at Karachi Port Trust, while Gfs Genesis, Euphoria, Msc Albany and Tenaro sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them three ships, GFS Genesis, Golden Arsnel and AU Taurus are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 75,226 tonnes, comprising 50,712 tonnes imports cargo and 24,514 export cargo carried in 2,954 containers (1,512 TEUs Imports & 1,442 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 12 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Woohyun Dream, Rhine, Al-Jassasiya and Hansa Africa & two more ships, Spirit of Bertram and APL Florida are expected to take berths at MW-1, LCT, EETL and QICT on Wednesday.
