KARACHI: Gold prices on Wednesday saw a sizeable fall on the local market with silver standing firm, traders said.

Gold lost Rs 1100 and Rs 944 to reach Rs 214800 per tola and Rs 184156 per 10 grams, respectively.

On the world market, gold prices stood at $ 2048 per ounce with an additional $ 20 premium by the local market for bullion trade.

Silver was available for Rs 2570 per tola and Rs 2203.36 per 10 grams.
