KARACHI: The local market on Wednesday saw a huge downturn in gold prices with silver inching down, traders said.

After a couple of day’s stagnation, the local market witnessed a slump in the gold prices by Rs3500 to Rs210800 per tola and Rs3001 to Rs180727 per 10 grams. The world market traded gold for $2010 per ounce, which the local market adds with an additional $20 premium for the domestic bullion deals.

Silver prices declined by Rs20 and Rs17.15 to Rs2580 per tola and Rs2211.93 per 10 grams, respectively. International silver price was quoted as $22.04 per ounce, traders said.
