In his absence, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan assumed the role of acting President. However, responding to the call of 14 out of 17 executive committee members, a General Body Meeting of KATI was convened at the secretariat on January 29, 2024.

During the meeting, Johar Ali Qandhari emerged as the unanimous choice for the position of President, securing the full support of the executive committee members. Notable figures present at the meeting included KATI’s Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan and others.
