Uganda shilling stronger due to slower importer FX demand

KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling strengthened on Wednesday, helped by slowing demand for dollars from merchandise importers, traders said.

Uganda shilling stable in quiet trade

At 0922 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,785/3,795, compared with Tuesday’s closing rate of 3,795/3,805.
