FAISALABAD: Park Kijun Ambassador of the Republic of Korea has stressed the need for robust diplomatic relations with Pakistan, adding that a focused approach would be adopted to promote cultural relations.

In a meeting with Dr Khurram Tariq, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), he said that he has been recently appointed and was busy in understanding diplomatic affairs. He said that he would try his optimum best to resolve the visa, industrial and commercial issues in later phase. He was optimistic that the cultural relations would play a key role in cultivating close people to people links.

Dr Khurram Tariq appreciated the unprecedented growth of South Korea and said that 12,440 Pakistanis are working in Korea while Pakistan could also provide cheap labour to this country.

He appreciated the Korean cooperation for the up-gradation of textile sector and said that the technical textile centre established in NTU with the help of Korea would play a major role in the development of the textile sector.
