Gold, silver prices fall

KARACHI: Gold prices on Wednesday continued to slump on the local market with silver falling as well, traders said.

Gold was available for Rs 219,000 per tola and Rs 187,757 per 10 grams after falling by Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,143 respectively.

Silver prices declined by Rs 100 to Rs 2,550 per tola and Rs 85.73 to Rs 2,186.21 per 10 grams. On the world market, gold prices stood for $ 1,948 per ounce and silver for $ 23.89 per ounce, traders said.
