At least one person was killed, and three others sustained injuries after part of a ceiling at Karachi's Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel collapsed on Thursday night.
The injured people were transferred to the Civil Hospital, while efforts began to help others trapped in the rubble.
Videos posted on social media showed the aftermath of the collapse.
