Gold price slumps

KARACHI: Gold price on Tuesday further slumped by Rs 2500 per tola on the local market, traders said. Thus, the single day big fall of Rs 2500 further brought down the yellow metal price to Rs 112100 per tola. The precious metal per 10 grams also scaled back to Rs 96108, down by Rs 2143. Price of gold per ounce was quoted at $1877, down by a big decline of 80 on the world market. Silver was selling for Rs 1170 per tola, down by Rs 80; Rs 1011.65 per 10 grams, down by Rs 60.02 and $24.15 per ounce, traders said.
