(Karachi) One of India's top news anchors Arnab Goswami has been arrested in connection with an abetment to suicide case from his home in Mumbai, Times of India reported on Wednesday.

As per details, Goswami is being investigated for his alleged role in the death of an architect who designed his studio.

Local police said that Anvay Naik and his mother were found dead in May 2018 at their home in Alibaug region of the western state of Maharashtra. They stated that the victim left a suicide note in which he blamed Goswami for his death and not paying his fee.

Naik's wife has been campaigning on social media for the case to be investigated thoroughly. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh recently ordered a special team to investigate the case.

However, Arnab denies the allegation.
