Philippines records 2,249 new coronavirus cases, 87 more deaths

MANILA: The Philippines' health ministry on Saturday recorded 2,249 new coronavirus infections and 87 additional deaths.

In a bulletin, the ministry said total confirmed cases in the Philippines have increased to 336,926, the highest in Southeast Asia, while deaths have reached 6,238.
