CHICAGO: Following are US trade expectations for the opening of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Thursday.

WHEAT - Up 5 cents to 8 cents per bushel

Wheat firming on bargain buying after five straight days of declines. Strong world demand supportive.

CBOT December soft red winter wheat contract found support at its 200-day moving.

The Saudi Grains Organization seeking 715,000 tonnes of wheat in an international tender.

The CBOT reported nine deliveries against Chicago September soft red winter wheat futures. There were zero K.C. September hard red winter wheat deliveries and zero MGEX September spring wheat deliveries.

CBOT December soft red winter wheat last traded up 6-1/2 cents at $5.50-1/4 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat was last 7-3/4 cents higher at $4.78-3/4 a bushel. MGEX December spring wheat was last up 2-1/2 cents at $5.38 a bushel.

CORN - Up 2 cents to 3 cents per bushel

Market firming on expectations that US Agriculture Department will cut its US harvest estimate in closely watched supply and demand report on Friday.

CBOT December corn futures rose above their 200-day moving average overnight.

The CBOT reported two deliveries against September corn futures.

CBOT December corn last traded up 2 cents at $3.62-1/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Steady to up 2 cents per bushel Soybean market underpinned by strong Chinese demand but traders say market may be technically overbought after 12 straight days of gains.

Private exporters reported the sale of 195,000 tonnes of soybeans to China for delivery in the 2020/2021 marketing year.

The CBOT reported one delivery against CBOT September soybean futures, along with 30 September soymeal deliveries. There was one September soyoil delivery.

CBOT November soybeans last traded up 1/2 cent at $9.83-3/4 per bushel.
