Roshan Digital Account inauguration: Overseas Pakistanis are our biggest asset, says PM

(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that overseas Pakistanis are our biggest asset.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Roshan Digital Account for Overseas Pakistanis on Thursday, he said the digital account system will work best for construction industry.
It is the best time for overseas Pakistanis to invest in different projects in the country," the prime minister stated. He maintained, "We want the overseas Pakistanis to put their share in development of the country."
He said the digital account system is the right platform for the purpose. Imran said the government is facilitating the traders and business community in every possible manner.
Roshan Digital Account system is a major initiative by State Bank of Pakistan together with commercial banks operating in Pakistan.
For the first time in country’s history, overseas Pakistanis will be able to remotely open an account through an entirely digital and online process without any need to visit a bank branch, embassy or consulate.
The customer can choose either a foreign currency or rupee dominated account, or both. Funds in these accounts will be fully repatriable, without the need for any regulatory approval.
